Songwriter Sunday 11-19-17 Cultivate Coffee

It’s interesting, this musical adventure I’ve been on. The people are the best part of it. Sunday, 11-19-2017 was no exception. The event was a “Behind the Music” songwriters show featuring Sophiyah E., Trey Priest, James Henes, and myself. We all had a chance to play a few songs and talk about our process of writing and get to the stories behind the songs. There were questions from audience members and I found the whole thing really fulfilling. Jenny Jones put the show together and really did a great job with making us feel like we are a part of a greater community. Sophiyah, Trey, and James were so good. Everyone really showed up and delivered fantastic performances. I even got to read an excerpt from Andee Reilly’s recent book Satisfaction. It features some of the lyrics to my song “California” in it and is part of the overall arc of the story. A very cool night and experience. Thank you to all who made it possible.

Crazy Wisdom 10/20/2017

A great show only happens when the right combination of people come together to make it happen. Friday night at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore and Tearoom was one of those shows for me. Thank you to Michelle Everett Wilbert for being such a warm and gracious host, to Dave Solo for the loan of the astonishing Ear Trumpet Labs microphone and sweet guitar accompaniment on “One Water”, and to Michael Snyder-Barker for stepping in and helping me with the load-in, setup, and break down at the end. And I’d like to give a great-big-giant special thank you to the very fine audience that came out tonight. I am truly grateful to have your support. Thank you everyone! ❤️❤️❤️ photo- Dave Solo

Appleumpkin Festival 2017

Another Appleumpkin has come and gone. Tecumseh, MI is a lovely small town with a lot of energy and charachter.  This was my third year playing there and I loved it. The weather held off and the people were warm and receptive. Thanks, Tecumseh! I hope to see you next year!

Old Town Tavern 4-30-17

The Old Town Tavern gig with Charlie Dentel & the Strange Angels was fantastic! A great turnout and a lively atmosphere made for a memorable night. Charlie Dentel has put together a group of musicians that is as good as any you will ever hear, and his songs, and his voice are world class. Truly a not-to-be-missed group. I’m so happy to have been a part of it. Thank you to everyone that came out to the show!
